Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets forth the rules governing use of the services provided by PR Run, a company organized and existing under the laws of the State of Montana (“PR Run,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This AUP supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings set forth in the Terms.

Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, removal of content, and referral to law enforcement, without refund or liability to PR Run.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service, directly or indirectly, to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or contractual obligation.
  • Infringe, misappropriate, or violate any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, phishing content, credential harvesting tools, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
  • Engage in fraud, identity theft, harassment, stalking, exploitation, unlawful surveillance, or discrimination prohibited by law.
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent access controls, authentication mechanisms, rate limits, or security measures.
  • Conduct security testing, vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing against PR Run systems without prior written authorization from security@pr.run.
  • Process, store, or transmit protected health information subject to HIPAA, payment card data subject to PCI DSS, or other regulated data types without appropriate authorization, contractual agreements, safeguards, and legal basis. The Service is not a HIPAA-compliant or PCI-certified offering unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement.
  • Impersonate a race organizer, land manager, athlete, or any other person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with PR Run.
  • Publish course, permit, or cutoff information that you know is false in a manner intended to mislead other athletes.
  • Send unsolicited bulk communications, spam, or conduct denial-of-service attacks.
  • Scrape, crawl, or access the Service through automated means that impose unreasonable load on infrastructure or circumvent technical access controls.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users’ use of the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Use the Service in any manner that creates legal, security, or reputational risk to PR Run or other users.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for User Content, the addresses you give us, and all use of the Service under your control. You must:

  • Verify course, aid, cutoff, and rule information with the race organizer.
  • Obtain consents before submitting personal data about other athletes, crew, or minors.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable land-manager rules, race rules, and contractual obligations.
  • Promptly investigate and remediate suspected misuse of an address or account you control.

Monitoring and Enforcement

PR Run reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to monitor use of the Service for compliance with this AUP. We may use automated and manual means to detect abuse, security threats, and policy violations. PR Run does not pre-screen User Content and is not responsible for content uploaded or published by users.

Enforcement Actions

Upon determining, in PR Run’s sole discretion, that a violation has occurred or is reasonably suspected, PR Run may take one or more of the following actions without prior notice and without liability:

  • Issue a warning or request remediation within a specified timeframe.
  • Restrict access to specific features.
  • Suspend access temporarily or permanently.
  • Terminate the account, if any, and delete associated content.
  • Remove or disable content that creates risk.
  • Report activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
  • Pursue any other remedy available at law or in equity.

PR Run evaluates context and severity in good faith. Innocent mistakes may receive an opportunity to remediate before stronger action, but PR Run is under no obligation to provide such opportunity.

Reporting Violations

Report suspected violations to hi@pr.run. For security vulnerabilities, write security@pr.run as described on our Security page.

Changes to This AUP

PR Run may update this AUP from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
