The Course

Fifty laps of a runnable 2-mile double-track loop on Cahuilla Indian Reservation roads. One hundred seventy feet gain per lap. Eight thousand five hundred feet total. Aid at softball field with hot dogs, burgers, pizza, real bathrooms. Fundraiser for tribal youth programs.

The Work

Flat-ultra pacing with cumulative rolling hills. Mental durability for lap counting. Train long runs on boring terrain with steady effort.

Kit

Dust gaiters. Sun hat. Comfortable road-trail shoes. Drop bag at softball field.

Race Day

Thirty-two hour cutoff, 3:00 pm Sunday. Twenty-four hour runners stop at 24 hours. No continuing past 24 for a buckle. Sign up for 100 if you want the buckle.
