The Course
Ten 20-mile loops around Lake Perris. Each lap gains about 4,500 feet on relentless technical climbs and descents. Total 44,000 feet gain. Aid at miles 8 and 13 plus start/finish transition. Campground base every lap.
The Work
Vert density at low altitude. Quads on repeated steep descents. Train 20-mile loops with 4,000-plus feet. This is not a hiking race.
Kit
Poles strongly recommended. Night kit for multiple dark laps. Crew camp setup at group campground. Cash prizes top three overall.
Race Day
Wednesday start for 200. Pacers after mile 80. Ninety-six hour cutoff. Same loop as Machete 100 but twice the suffering.
