Course DNA

The Course

Starts at Bonneville Speedway on the Salt Flats. Thirteen miles of salt and three miles mud flats, then rolling dirt roads through island peaks above the white plain. Crosses into Nevada on Donner-Reed route. Four significant climbs. Five thousand five hundred feet gain. Finishes back at the speedway.

The Work

Salt running and desert heat. Hard cutoff at Aid 5 mile 31.6 by 6:00 pm Friday or you cannot reach the islands. Good first 100 with generous cutoffs.

Kit

Gaiters for salt and mud. Sun hat and electrolytes. Crew access at most stations. Drop bags at key aids.

Race Day

7:00 am Friday start. Thirty-six hour cutoff Saturday 7:00 pm. Aid 5 is the gatekeeper. Last stretch from Aid 14 is deceptive. Finisher buckle for all within cutoff.
