The work
The first climb is a statement. Puke Hill is still on the map for a reason. You train heat on the front side and cold on the back. Thirty-six hours closes at five p.m. Saturday at the Hollow.
Race morning
First Friday after Labor Day. Drop bags at Bountiful B, Big Mountain, Lambs, Big Water, Brighton, Pole Line, Little Deer Creek, finish. Crew access is gated by how close your runner is. Grand Slam hundred.
Watch outs
Going out on The Gut. Night on the ridge after Brighton. Point Supreme in a wind. The last dirt into Soldier Hollow when the clock is loud.
