Hypoxia is the governor. Climbing power on Virginius and Handies is a different engine. Weighted step-ups. High-altitude hiking. Core that can carry mountain kit for 30 to 48 hours. Low-intensity climbing, hours at a time. If you cannot climb efficiently up here, the mountain stops you.
