The Course

Multi-pass out-and-back on PCT and Angeles National Forest singletrack from Lake Hughes Community Center. Sixteen thousand four hundred forty-seven feet gain. High desert chaparral, oak woodland, remote ridgelines. Ten aid stations, several hike-in for crew.

The Work

Repeated PCT climbs in heat. Train on technical descents. Western States qualifier at 33 hours. Not a supported through-hike. Cutoffs are fair but real.

Race Day

5:30 am start. Agua Dulce cutoff 2:30 pm at mile 32.5. Pacers from Agua Dulce. Finish cutoff 2:30 pm Sunday. Drop bags at multiple stations.
