The mountain
A loop out of Moab. Desert, canyons, slickrock, two ranges. Canyonlands and Arches sit on the edge of the view. Two hundred forty-one point eight miles. Thirty-one thousand eight hundred ninety-two feet up and down. October sun. October night that drops.
The work
Slickrock eats calves. Sand eats time. Fifteen full aid stations, five of them sleep. Lottery. You train heat, technical rock, and a sleep plan that survives a hundred twelve hours.
