The Work

Desert mesa climbing and slickrock footwork. Heat on exposed rim sections. Train technical descents on sandstone. Western States qualifier at 36 hours.

Kit

Trail shoes with grip for slickrock. Sun kit and wind layer. Hydration for long exposed sections. Pacers allowed at designated crew stations.

Race Day

6:00 am Friday start. Thirty-six hour cutoff. Sixteen aid stations. Hike-in crew at Ruby Rider Ranch. Aravaipa production with hot meals at key stops.
